Rudolph Bauer, Phd

Rudolph Bauer, Ph.D. is Diplomate in Clinical Psychology, ABPP and holds Consultant Status in The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is a member of The American Academy of Clinical Psychology. He is currently Director of The Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Center of Washington D.C. as well as Co Director of The Washington Center for Consciousness Studies.

Formerly, He was Director of Psychology Training at The University of Maryland School of Medicine and was on the teaching Faculty of Johns Hopkins University. He has completed Post Doctoral work in existential phenomenology at The University of Louvain,Belgium and as well Post Doctoral work in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and Clinical Child Psychology at The Devereux Foundation. He also completed a Predoctoral Psychology internship at Devereux Foundation. He was trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy at The Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Center of La Jolla, California by Erving and Miriam Polster. He also studied Family systems at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center and participated in psychoanalytic seminars at the Philadelphia Association for Psychoanalysis.

He has studied for over 30 years with Masters of Dzogchen Tibetan Buddhism, Kashmir Shavism and Daoist Qi Gong. He has over 30 publications in the areas of individual and group psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, child psychotherapy, psychoanalytic object relations theory as well as experimental studies on time perspective of hope and despair.

Sharon Bauer

Sharon Bauer, MSN is clinical specialist in Psychiatric Nursing  and a practicing psychotherapist for the past 30 years.  She is co- Director of the Washington Center for Consciousness Studies and has been teaching and practicing meditation for over 30 years.  She is particularly interested in the experiencing the oneness of all traditions.
